How to Save Money with Your Wichita Museum & Zoo Memberships When You Travel

Wichita Museum MembershipsDo you have Wichita museum memberships? If there’s anything I love as much as our fair city it is traveling, especially with my kids. When we travel, near or far, the first thing I investigate is what zoos and museums we can visit. And we love that we can use our Wichita museum memberships in other cities!

Perhaps my favorite perk of memberships to our local zoos and museums is free or discounted reciprocal admission to others around the country. It makes trip planning a breeze and saves a lot of money! Plan a day trip or weekend getaway to hit up a couple of these spots for a fun, educational, cost effective road trip.

I’ve split the list into day trip range (three hours one way or less) and long-weekend (up to seven hours one way) destinations. There are ninety zoos or museums for the road warriors among us to enjoy with Wichita zoo and museum memberships.

Use Your Wichita Museum Memberships in Other Cities (including Zoo & Botanica)

The reciprocity lists can change yearly. Be sure to check recent info before you travel.

  1. This is a great list. I can’t wait to use this when planning so summer get always. I have used SCZ membership for discounts at the Topeka and Manhatan, KS zoos. It definitely makes those membership fees to our wonderful local attractions worth it.

  2. We loved the science museum in Oklahoma City, and it’s expensive, so it was awesome to get in free with our EP membership. But I never realized my Botanica pass had reciprocity…. I’m so grateful for this article for pointing that out!
