4 Easy Fourth of July Treats

The Fourth of July is such a fun summer holiday. You get to spend time with friends and family and go to parades and watch fireworks! But there’s one thing that makes the day even better. I’m not talking about the sparklers…it’s the food! Outdoor parties are king on this holiday and there are a lot of easily transportable treats to make the day memorable. Here are a few quick and easy ideas to throw together but still wow your guests (or host)!

Red, White and Blue Rice Krispie Treats

Rice Krispies
Mini marshmallows
Butter or Margarine
Red, white and blue sprinkles

Use your favorite Rice Krispie treat recipe (I just use the original recipe on the box) and add sprinkles while it is still warm. Use your wax paper to smush it down and it will push the sprinkles further down into the treats.

Festive Fruit Kabobs

Mini marshmallows
Raspberries (or any other small, red fruit)
Kabob skewers

Use the 3 ingredients above to stack in red, white and blue order – easy!

Jell-O Jiggler

Red Jell-O mix
Blue Jell-O mix
Star cookie cutter

Make Jell-O according to the package, then let it sit in refrigerator until completely cool and firm. Use cookie cutters to cut out stars in both the red and blue Jell-O
If you don’t have time or want to cut out the Jell-O in shapes, just cut into squares and mix the flavors/colors in a bowl.

Frozen Bomb Pop Daiquiri (21+)

This was the easies recipe I could find with the least amount of ingredients because I’m lazy very busy. The red layer has you use real strawberries, and while I’m sure that it tastes delicious, you could substitute with store bought daiquiri mix. This recipe only makes 2 drinks so you’d probably need to double, triple or even quadruple the recipe depending on how big your party is. Or how many you want to drink yourself!

What’s your favorite 4th of July treat?
