Mom Groups in Wichita – #FindYourTribe

Something invaluable to every mom is her tribe. But sometimes, due to geography or just the time on the clock, your “in real life” tribe is unavailable. I have been very thankful over the course of my mothering career, that I also have an online tribe to turn to for advice, recommendations, and friendship. Here are some locally sourced online groups that may be just the thing you need to help YOU with mothering today.

Wichita Moms Blog Neighborhood Groups:

We have six different groups, broken up by geographic region, so you can meet moms in your area and hopefully even connect offline!

North Wichita/Bel Aire
Derby/South Wichita
East Wichita/Andover
West Wichita/Andover/Maize
Central Wichita/Downtown
El Dorado

Facebook Specialty Groups:

Sometimes you have a specific question or concern and want to talk to others who are going through the same thing. Here is a list of groups in the Wichita area with a specialty focus.

Moms of Multiples
Foster/Adoptive Moms
Moms Run This Town
Stay at Home Moms
Cloth Diapering Moms
La Leche League
Babywearing International of Wichita

In Real Life Groups:

There are other ways to meet up in real life too, not just online. Our neighborhood groups have monthly meet-ups, sometimes for moms only, and sometimes playdates with the kiddos. There are other groups in Wichita that meet in person. Here are some of them:

Meetup.com – find groups that meet from any topic you are interested in!
Book Club for grownups – at Watermark Books

As a mom in Wichita, who do you go to for support? Are you involved in a group online or in real life that has been invaluable to you? Let us know about it in the comments!

Meaghan Koci
Meaghan wears many hats throughout the day: wife to husband of fifteen years, Jeremy, mom to two incredible children, Jacob and Aliza, legal assistant, foster parent, and surrogate. A Wichita native, she met her husband at K-State (Go State!) and they moved from coast (Los Angeles, CA) to coast (Manchester, NH and Groton, CT) before settling back down in Kansas. She is a big fan of her crock pots, has read more than a novel a day for the last five years, and crochets in her “spare” time.
