Fit Moms New Year Challenge

Genesis 1

Disclosure : Thank you to Genesis Health Clubs for sponsoring this post and  for providing the opportunity for our community of moms to get healthy and fit in the new year!

As moms, we often find it easy to put ourselves on the back burner, but are we really doing our kids and our family a favor by not taking time for ourselves? Moms who work out and eat healthy have more energy, feel better about themselves, and are ultimately happier. The G60 Boot Camp at Genesis Health Clubs on Rock Road promises a simple, intense, AWESOME workout that will get you results! This year, it’s about YOU!

What is G60 Boot Camp?

The G60 Boot Camp program focuses on total body conditioning and is recommended for all fitness levels and ages. Cardio conditioning, as well as strength and endurance training are featured. After a warm-up, you’ll rotate through up to 10 different stations that focus on different areas of the body, including cardio. The WMB recently got a taste of Boot Camp with fellow moms and readers at our Moms Fit Night Out. The music is always going and helps make the time fly by! You’ll be drenched with sweat and leaving the class feeling great!

WMB New Year’s Challenge

Brought to you by Genesis Health Clubs
Starting January 11th, 30 lucky WMB readers will join members of our contributor team in our WMB New Year’s Challenge by resolving to workout with the G60 Boot Camp program twice a week. Just like you, these are busy moms with all kinds of challenges that may be prohibiting them from making time for themselves. Our goal is to hit the gym, help each other make healthy food choices and support one another on this journey towards a healthier you. Participants will be asked to commit to two nights a week and will get to try group fitness classes in addition to the G60 Boot Camp. We’ll also be sharing recipes and tips on our closed-group Facebook page!

The participant that has the largest percentage of weight loss will win a New Year’s makeover at the end of the challenge!

Lacey Mills
Lacey is mom to her one and only kiddo, an ornery, adorable 5 year old named Easton and has been married for 10 years to her husband, Justin. Originally from Hutchinson, she moved to Wichita to finish her bachelor's degree in marketing from Wichita State University. Her husband's job took them to Maine for a few years until they settled down just north of Wichita for a quiet, small town life. Lacey works full-time as the Director for a non-profit foundation and balances career with family, friends and all things craft-related. She loves to scrapbook, quilt (yes, she said quilt), craft, throw parties, drink wine and spend a conceivably, unhealthy amount of time on Pinterest.
