Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, but so is the best day of the year, Galentine’s Day. If you haven’t heard, Galentine’s Day is held each year on February 13 as a day to spend celebrating the beautiful lady friends in your life. As moms, it’s even more important to get out of the house, away from #momlife, and celebrate the other rockstar moms that need a little gal time and pampering every once in a while. And, lots and lots of compliments. Like, “You beautiful tropical fish. You are smart as a whip and cool under pressure.” Because, you are.
So, I’ve put together a couple ideas of fun ways you can celebrate your ladies on Galentine’s Day complete with a couple of free printable gift DIYs!
1. Brunch it up.
Pick a day, grab your gals, and go stuff your face with waffles and other goodness for brunch! Gather to eat and bond over motherhood and your rockstar-ness. Bring gifts to exchange and maybe even go around the table and spend some time complimenting each other. You’ll walk away with full bellies and full hearts!
2. Mini Road Trip.
Got a free Saturday or weekend? Jump in the car with your girlfriends and head out of town for a quick girl getaway. And, you don’t have to go far to have some fun away from your significant others and children. Even if you don’t really go anywhere, what’s better than driving around with the music cranked up while munching on road trip snacks?
3. Movie Night.
Prefer a cozy night in? Kick the kids and husbands out, and invite a couple friends over to eat pizza, popcorn, and lots of candy, while watching a good chick flick or a season of Parks and Rec.
4. DIY Day.
Feeling crafty? Get together and start creating! What a better time to finally try out some of those Pinterest ideas you’ve had pinned for forever?
5. Wine Tasting Party.
Grab some cheese and crackers, and have a couple friends bring over their favorite wine for a classy wine tasting party.
If you don’t have time (I get it: #momlife) for a big Galentine’s Day celebration, you can still use these free printables to create a fun card + gift for your gal pals. And your gal pal’s lips.
Just print on white cardstock, trim on crop marks, and cut out the white circle. Cutting the circle can be tricky, but I like to poke a hole in the middle with my scissors and then carefully cut around the edge. Plus, no need to get it perfect, since the cut will actually be covered with your lipbalm! Grab a couple of EOS lipbalms when you’re out shopping, they have tons of great colors and flavors, and you’re good to go! Add these cards to a gift or simply hand out to your girlfriends when you see them.
