Kirsten knew she wanted to own her own small business as a senior in high school when she began working part time at Vic’s Corn Popper in Andover, KS. As their first employee, the business owners really invested in Kirsten and taught her the “tools of the trade” so to speak. She was often trusted to run their store while they were out-of-town on weekends. Kirsten graduated from Andover Central HS in 2005 and moved to Lincoln, NE to earn her degree in Business Management. The small business passion carried on with her and she would come back to Kansas to work at the Vic’s Popcorn shop during her school breaks from college as often as possible.
She asked the owners of Vic’s at a young age that if they were ever looking to sell the store, to notify her first. Sure enough, 10 years later, they were ready to sell and gave her a call. During those 10 years, her mind was constantly generating ideas on how she could open her very own popcorn company. With the help of her creative family members, The Popcorner was created. We are proud to continue the popcorn tradition under this new brand in the same very location where Kirsten sparked her passion. Kirsten and her family are very excited to announce the opening of their second store on the west side of town which will open in the fall of 2016.

Smallcakes features seasonal and special flavors created by Jeff. After appearances on the Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars” seasons one, two, and seven as well as on the hit daytime talk show “The View,” Smallcakes became well known and in hot demand in neighborhoods across the nation. Even celebrities have had Smallcakes at their events and weddings. USA TODAY listed Smallcakes as one of the Top Ten Cupcake Places to try in the country.

When Connie’s Cookies Co. first started taking shape in 1989, it was nothing more than a way to make a little Christmas money, utilizing a passion for baking cookies I’d had since childhood.
Today we have four full-time employees and several part-time employees and a 3,300 sq. foot bakery at 13011 E. 21 St, Wichita, Ks. We are proud to service several wholesale accounts, many corporate accounts, the public and ship cookies throughout the United States. We feel our excellent cookies and our loyal customers have put us where we are today.

We offer decorated cakes in many shapes, sizes and flavors with a variety of fillings and icings. Our job is to bake mouthwatering originality into every celebration. It’s important to keep in mind, our portfolio is only a small sample of what we can do. For example, Cheri’s signature cut-out sugar cookies are available in over 900 designs, along with other tasty temptations such as drop cookies, muffins and brownies, and made-from-scratch pies. There is a menu with standard, tried and tasted recipes, but I never turn down a request. I aim to please with whatever cupcake needs you may have; minis, regular, giant, or pull-apart!
