World Breastfeeding Week Events in Wichita | 2018

World Breastfeeding Week is August 1st-7th, 2018, and the theme is the “Foundations of Life”. This WBW Wichita is celebrating now having TWO Baby Friendly Hospitals. Many in our community have worked tirelessly to set a standard for care and we are thankful for their commitment! And while we have made so many improvements over the years, there is still so much work to be done.

How do we make Wichita the most Breastfeeding Friendly City in the US?

We need every Wichitans help to create an environment and culture that is compassionate, thoughtful and kind to nursing women and their babies. With employers voluntarily supporting breastfeeding employees and families. And healthcare teams that continue to look at ways to serve all our community equitably. Together we can make Wichita an even “friendlier” place to be a new mom.
