Sprouts :: These are a Few of Our Favorite Things

Thank you to Sprouts for sponsoring this post and for providing "healthy options for less" to our community of moms!

The newest addition to Wichita’s grocery store market opened this week, and two of our team members were lucky enough to receive the grand tour! Sprouts Farmers market (located west of Central and Rock) has TONS to offer moms in our community. We took some notes, and here are a few of our favorite things:

The Prices

Honestly, we can’t brag about the pricing enough. We could write an entire post about their produce and meat sections showing you how incredibly competitive their prices are. Our littles love fresh produce, but at the rate they consume it, it is expensive. Hail to Sprouts for bringing fresh market produce to our city at prices that are lower than anything we have seen. You should have seen us walking through the store with our jaws on the floor. $1 blueberries! 3 for $1 green bell peppers! $0.77 avocados! The Sprouts motto is healthy eating for less and they are definitely living up to it!

The Produce

The store layout is very different from traditional grocery stores as the produce section is in the middle. It is the focal point of the store and they have an incredible selection (and again, the prices!). The other thing we loved was the assistance. They had
produce-specific employees available to answer questions and provide samples. They said if you ever want to try something, just ask an associate!

The Meats

For the non-vegetarians, Sprouts has their own in-house butcher shop where they cut and prepare their own meats. You can have items cut to order in specific weights. They also make all of the sausage in house, and the one we tried was delicious. They also offer grass-fed beef at prices that will be hard for other to match!

Grab ‘n Go

As moms, we are always looking for healthy, quick meals for the entire family. Sprouts has lots to offer in this category with a grab ‘n go sushi, salad and sandwich bar. Plus, they offer many other items you can purchase pre-made for the family!

The Bulk Section

Sprouts has barrels and barrels of bulk products available for you to purchase in whatever quantity you would like (nuts, grains, trail mix, rice, etc.). This is perfect for someone like me, because I always have half eaten packages in the pantry. We love eating, but sometimes not in the quantities items are packaged in. Plus, another great way to save money by not having to purchase quantities your family won’t consume!

The Spices

Yes, I’m going to rave about the spices. You can purchase full bottles of spices or you can measure what you need. Yes, I said that right. No more spice bottles falling on my head every time I open the cupboard. So many recipes call for one teaspoon of this or that and Sprouts has finally figured out how to help us. They have a spice section where you can measure and purchase ONLY what you need. Need one teaspoon of a random spice? You only have to buy one teaspoon of the random spice. Genius.

Double Ad Wednesdays

This is something we were SUPER excited to learn about! Every Wednesday the Sprouts ad specials for the prior week and the current week are both available. What exactly does that mean? On Wednesdays you will receive double the discounts! We bet Wednesdays will quickly become the go-to Sprouts shopping day!

We can confidently say we are thrilled to have Sprouts in Wichita. And if you are itching to try it out for yourself, Sprouts is generously giving away a $50 gift card to one lucky WMB reader! Be sure to check out our Facebook Page for details!
