Fall Frenzy – CityArts

Join CityArts for a family-friendly fall activity from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 at CityArts, 334 N. Mead. $5 for kids, accompanying adults free. Art Start for Families: Hats, Helmets, and Headdresses

Art Start is a FREE program for children ages 3 to 5 to engage with art, imagine, and learn together. The theme changes each month, so come back once a month for a fresh take on the museum! Sessions are from 10 to 11 am or 1:30 to 2:30 pm. Tuesdays are for families: children ages 3 to 5 with an adult. September’s program is Hats, Helmets, and Headdresses. Follow the world’s finest hatmaker Madame Chapeau as she designs her own unique headgear in honor of her birthday. Become your very own hat designer and build a wearable creation to celebrate any holiday or event in fashion. Advance registration is required.

Adults’ ICT Flag Workshop

Friday, September 22nd @ 7-9:30pm

So excited to be working with talented, local artist, Elisabeth Owens, to bring you a adults’ workshop! Her ICT Flag prints fly out of the shop and now you have a chance to make your own! This workshop will be setup similar to the kids’ workshop, except she will guide you on further embellishments to make the pieces more unique and lively.

– Workshop is intended for older teens & adults
– Paint has the possibility to stain clothes, keep this in mind when dressing
– Pallets and templates will be chosen from options but participants will be encouraged to express their own ideas and creativity through their selected option.
– Expect art to turn out similar to option chosen but with your own touches/skill level – guidance from Elisabeth will be provided

Small bites & drinks will be served.

Once you have signed up, we will have your name & choice of pallet for the workshop (physical ticket not needed). Tickets are nonrefundable, but transferable to another adult if you are unable to make it.
