Holiday Galleria WIhcitaHoliday Galleria, Junior League of Wichita’s annual shopping extravaganza, is set for October 13-16 at Century II. 2016 will mark the 13th year of the event and proceeds will benefit the Wichita community. Here are 10 reasons you can’t miss this spectacular event that has become a fall tradition in Wichita!

#1 – Shopping

With more than 100 regional and national merchants offering a large selection of clothing, jewelry, gifts, toys, gourmet food and home decor items, you’re sure to find unique gifts for everyone on your list. You may even finish your Christmas shopping list in one day!

#2 – Food

You will find delectable delights to tempt your taste buds at Holiday Galleria. Many delicious goodies will be available to try before you buy- hooray for samples! All Stars Dips, Dave’s Coffee Cakes, and many more.

#3 – Christmas Decoration Inspiration

Holiday Galleria is THE place for festive finds! You’ll find creative ways to deck the halls and you may even expand your knowledge of holiday decor (thank you, Holiday Galleria, for teaching me about the whimsical Christmas decoration known as the Elf Butt).

#4 – Local Love

Show your support for amazing area vendors right here in our local community. Great Harvest Bread Company, Love of Character and Pinot’s Palette are just a few of the Wichita businesses who will be in attendance at the event. Just think of those purchases you take home as an investment in your community!

#5 – Special Events

You don’t want to miss out on the fun of special events like Premier Party and Girls’ Night Out. Holiday Galleria kicks off on Thursday evening with a Lucky 13 Vegas-themed Premier Party (to celebrate HG’s 13th year!). Be the first to shop our fabulous merchants while enjoying drink options, hors d’oeuvres and desserts galore. The Friday evening Girls’ Night Out event promises a night of shopping and festivities, opportunities to bid on gorgeous handbags, Mexican food and drink and a live services auction.

#6 – Teacher Appreciation Day

On Saturday, October 15, teachers will receive free admission to Holiday Galleria during general admission hours with a valid work ID. Entertainment on Saturday includes a cooking demonstration from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. and a fashion show from 2-3 p.m. (included with general admission ticket). See the latest fashion trends and outfit ideas. Plus, get expert advice on how to look chic and fabulous this holiday season!

#7 – Military & Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

Military and law enforcement show their badge or ID for free admission to Holiday Galleria on Sunday, October 16, 2016 during general admission hours. Entertainment on Sunday includes cheer and dance groups from noon-2 p.m. (included with general admission ticket).

#8 – Atmosphere

The atmosphere of Holiday Galleria is really like none other. The live entertainment, the shouts of excitement from shoppers finding unbelievable bargains and the gorgeous holiday decor all blend to create a unique experience filled with holiday spirit.

#9 – Camaraderie

If your life is currently dominated by sippy cups, toddler nap time schedules and squeezy fruit pouches, then you need a time out! Holiday Galleria is the perfect opportunity to grab your girlfriends and have that girls’ night out (or girls’ afternoon out) that you’ve been putting off for too long.

All proceeds from this event will support the League’s issue area, to combat child abuse through awareness, prevention and intervention.

General admission times are Friday, October 14, 10 a.m. -4:30 p.m., Saturday, October 15, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday, October 16, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tickets for Holiday Galleria may be purchased at wichitatix.com, by calling 316-303-8100 or at the WichitaTix box office located at 225 W.
