Frilly hats, twirly dresses, and bow-ties: all accounted for and present at our Mommy & Me Tea Party Playdate at Whole Foods. We loved spending the morning with moms and kiddos celebrating Mother’s Day by getting a little fancy and a little crafty!
This tea party naturally included tea and lemonade. Whole Foods also provided scrumptious cookies, biscuits and market-fresh fruit. The patio was transformed with beautiful fresh flowers to complement the brisk (read: windy) spring day.
Story time featured Fancy Nancy. That girl sure knows a thing or two about tea parties.
Moms and kids planted their very own tea plant in recycled containers. Now, tea parties can happen whenever and wherever!
Finally, we rolled up our sleeves and did a little “tea-dyeing”. This project used tea as a natural dye to create unique designs on white shirts and was a super kid-friendly activity with featuring no harsh chemicals or dyes. Follow these simple steps to “tea-dye” a shirt at home.
All ticket proceeds from our playdate will go to proudly support Wichita Center for the Arts. The Center provides exceptional art education programs for the community.
Thank you to Whole Foods for hosting and a huge thank you to Sally Cavanaugh Photography for capturing our morning with such beautiful photos.
