When I think of the Fourth of July, I think of sunshine, parades, cookouts, and, of course, FIREWORKS! Luckily, there’s no shortage of fun to be had in Wichita (and beyond). Find your neighborhood or town, and start marking your calendar!

Wichita

Celebrate America Concert and Fireworks :: Bradley Fair, June 30th

Enjoy a concert by the lake, followed by a fireworks display after the sun goes down. The concert will begin at 7:30 pm.

Celebrate America :: Old Cowtown Museum, July 2nd

Cowtown is throwing an old-fashioned Fourth of July party, with carnival games, sack races, a parade, and more. Regular admission applies, and the hours are 10 am – 5 pm.

Red, White, and Boom :: Downtown Wichita, July 4th

A block party is coming to downtown Wichita, complete with live music, food, and a fireworks display. The party starts at 5:30 pm, and the fireworks will begin at 9:45 pm.

Wingnuts Baseball :: Lawrence-Dumont Stadium, July 4th

The Wingnuts will take on the Laredo Lemurs at 6:05 pm, with a fireworks show after the game. Bonus: it’s also Dollar Day, and there will be a Salute to America’s Heroes.

Augusta

Augusta Fireworks Display :: Augusta City Lake, July 3rd

A fireworks display is planned for dusk at Augusta City Lake.

Augusta Community Parade :: Downtown Augusta, July 4th

A children’s parade will be held at 10 am in downtown Augusta.

Derby

Independence Day Celebration :: High Park, July 4th

The day starts with a parade at 10 am, and continues with an evening celebration at High Park starting at 7 pm. There will be games, food, free ice cream, and a fireworks display beginning at approximately 9:30 pm.

El Dorado

Concert for America :: El Dorado Lake, July 3rd

Bring a lawn chair and enjoy some country music by the lake. The concert runs from 7 to 9 pm.

Fourth of July Celebration :: East Park, July 4th

El Dorado has an entire day of festivities planned, starting with a wiffle ball tournament at 9 am. Other highlights include a bike parade, turtle race, swimming, and fireworks display. And all events are FREE.

Goddard

Independence Day Celebration :: Discovery Intermediate School, July 2nd

Festivities in Goddard include baseball, snacks, a moon bounce, and fireworks. Activities take places between 6 and 10 pm.

Haysville

July Fourth Celebration :: Riggs Park, July 4th

Haysville’s annual celebration will feature live music, food, and fireworks. The events start at 7:30 pm.

Newton

Independence Day Fireworks Celebration :: Newton Presbyterian Manor, July 1st

Grab your lawn chairs for fireworks and a bake sale. The fireworks will begin at dusk, but plan to come a little early to find a spot (and some treats).

Fireworks Extravaganza :: Kidron Bethel Village, July 4th

This free event will include a bake sale, quilt auction, and fireworks. The event begins at 8 pm, with fireworks starting at dusk.

Park City

Salute to Freedom :: Hap McLean Park, July 4th

Enjoy a parade, pet show, car show, game, and more at this all-day event. The party starts with the parade at 9 am, and ends with fireworks at 10 pm.

Valley Center

Elderslie Farm 4th of July :: Elderslie Farm, July 4th

Head out to the farm to start your Fourth of July with breakfast and blackberry picking. Breakfast and activities are from 7 – 11 am.
